Montebello Golf Course, Montebello

first, reservation system is simple.... start calling at 6am monday for Sat and Sun reservations.... similar to most public courses..... grounds are well maintained and the hot dog was good..... practice range is fine, practice putting green is pretty true to the conditions on the course...... I read the comments about "rude staff" and by my experience can only guess that "rude" guests must simply beget "rude" treatment a little water hazards, a little hillsides, pretty well laid out course,

I had no problems with the people working there. The marshal was nice and I think it's a really enjoyable course. I plan to play there again soon.

The staff handling the pro shop has got to be the worst in the country. The guy is horribly rude and couldn't care less about you. The only reason people play at montebello is because it's location is central and the course is very well maintained. But having to jump through so many hoops just to play is horrible. Just because they get more customers than they need doens't mean they should take us forgranted.

I cannot say worst to such an indignant golf course staff!!!I will make it personal quest to represent Montebello Golf Course as they have treated me!!! Its ashame that people are hired with such ill manners at any public venue!?!Wake up management, its the people that make you successful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying for weeks to get a tee time at this course, to begin with i'm told to call back monday mornings and when i call back, no matter what time i call, i'm told saturday morning is all booked, if this a public course like the sign by the freeway says why don't they take resevations on saturday like everybody else. Also, the person i talked to sounds as if did not care.

This is by far has to be the worse course I have ever set foot on. The course itself is well maintained. However, the people who work there are rude beyond belief. Upper management has to slap these idiots around to shape them into gentlemen or boot their behind out. Their attitude will ruin anybody's golf game. I will never play here again.

I called to ask questions about the golf course and the person who answered the phone was totally unprofessional. He was very rude and seemed to have forgotten to push the hold button. I could hear him laughing in the background and made a derogatory statement to one of his co-workers. He came to the phone and continued to be rude and very unhelpful. The course itself was decent and overall the grounds appear to be well maintained. The staff can sour your day though, they seem to be kids from school who could care less about golf or the establishment.
