Renovated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management, this is a great value for a public course. The greens here are always in great condition, and are constantly praised by locals as the best aspect of the course. The fairways were traditionally less impressive, but the renovation did much to improve this problem. Overall, the course is rather flat and lengthy. Amenities include equipment rentals, pro shop and practice area.

3 reviews for Victoria Golf Course
fun and worthwhile

From the freeway, this course looks terrible. But, it is quite fun. The shape is playable, and it is worth the price. It does play slow, so be prepared for a 5 hour round!

Recently upgraded and good value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/05
Before I started playing Victoria, I heard some comments about poor maintenance, but things have changed. They are now called "The Links at Victoria" and it has been nicely upgraded. The fairways and greens have always been in decent shape when I've played and they've just gotten new carts and put in cement pathways. They usually have specials going on that includes the green fees, cart and lunch for $24 to $28. I've paid as little as $19 for this special. It was a great deal. Lately the lunch has been a hot dog, chips and soda, but they've also had buffet lunches and right now they have steak lunches on Weds. But, you don't go there to have lunch anyway, right? Also, Victoria is the only place around here where you have a choice to hit off grass or mat at the driving range. The starters and the regulars in the pro shop are all pretty nice (hi Mel!), but I noticed some of the newer kids are quite cocky. Also, there is some attitude in the snack bar. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. If you haven't played here in a while, give it another chance. All they need is an alligator in the gully like they have at nearby Harbor Park Golf Course.

Three words.....new golf balls!!!!! What a waste of time and money on their range hitting the worst balls ever.
