Dockweiler State Beach, Los Angeles

We visited for the first time since before the renovations at the campground. That is probably about three (3) years. The Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation has taken full control of operations rather than to contract out for these services as was done in the past, which makes for a Far Better Campground than Before !!! The upgrades included in the renovation we noticed are for Every Space to have Full Hook-ups. The back row was only Power and Water Before upgrades, now with Dump station at every space. There seems to be more work being done at the campground presently. Yes People, there are Airplanes overhead coming and going at LAX all hours of Day and Night. If you are a "Light Sleeper" than You Surely need to Camp Somewhere Else !!! I personally have No Trouble Sleeping when I am tired and the planes are a minor distraction for me. The prices are good in our opinion being at Winter rate of $28 for a Front row space (right up to sand) $26 for a Middle row space and $24 for a Back Row space. Overall the location is Great for being So Close to Everything you might need. Supplies can be purchased at any one of many locations nearby and not so nearby if you need food, drinks, parts or Anything Else. Best Camping in Los Angeles. Remember This Is Los Angeles People !!!
