Naples Island, Long Beach

The Gondola Getaway is a beautiful way to experience the canals of Naples, California. Board your vessel around the Bay of Belmont Shore (near the beach and basketball court area which has been called "Horny Corner" for years!) Gondola Getaway is located on Ocean Avenue near penninsula. The entrepreneur who built the company also coowns the "Big Red Bus" which is currently bridging the Long Beach and San Pedro Art scene, and gives tours along PCH for private parties! Naples has an array of fine dining establishments and a bridge away from the shops and eateries in Belmont Shore. December is a beautiful time to see the canals with houses decorated for the holidays and Summer is a great time to enjoy many aspects of Long Beach's Sea Festival.

A great place for a stroll! During the Holiday season, these giant houses do their best to out-do each other in the house decoration department. A great place for a dose of holiday cheer on a cold evening, bundled up, bring your cider or hot chocolate and make a full circle of the island. Be careful of the second Saturday in December, as that is the usual date for the Naples Boat Parade, and you can count on several thousand extra people trying to park and walk. The parade does have the added bonus of the decorated boats in the parade if you enjoy crowds.
