Knott's Berry Farm
Knott's Berry Farm, home to the Peanuts characters, has been a long-time favorite for families visiting the Orange County area. You'll find culturally-themed areas including Fiesta Village, Indian Trails and Independence Hall, where visitors get a look at the influence of these cultures on California life. There are also themed rides such as the Xcelerator and Montezooma's Revenge. Other areas such as The Boardwalk feature rides like Supreme Scream which, measuring in at an astounding 312 feet (95.098 meters), is the tallest structure in the county. Overall, if you're looking for something to please the kids (and maybe give yourself a rest), Knott's is a truly excellent choice. Operational hours vary from day to day, please check website for more details.
Our family had purchased tickets for two days, and arrived at the park early Friday afternoon in mid-May. What a great time! Fun themes, no lines, awesome rides (my favorites were the Ghost Rider and the Silver Bullet), good food, shopping, and Snoopy! Unfortunately, there was none of that charm on Saturday. The long lines and extremely rude school kids just ruined the day for us. We will return, but only during the week.
I loved this place! The silver bullet and excelerator are awsome! Plus, its only like
$25 for adults and $18 for kids. I think it almost is as good as Six Flags magic mountain! I don't know what the hec you guys are saying, like, this place is to expensive or, the rides here stink. Because this place is AWSOME!
its fun for the whole family ,and great ticket prices my favorit ride is the log ride and the employees are friendly ,the best time to go is in summer because there are less school kids so less longer lines ,I have a great time every time me and my family go we go every year and camp snoopy is fun for the kids.
Before entering the parking lot on a drizzly day we asked if the rides would be open. Even though it was just past the opening hour the parking attendant told us they had no word. Before buying tickets at the gate we asked if any rides were not operating and were told only two would not be running that day. Once entering the park none of the roller coasters were running. Staff said roller coasters would be operating an hour after the park's opening. We got suspicious and asked if any roller coasters were going to run that day. Not on rainy days. This is what we learned: to get a refund you need to show the time tickets were purchased as shown on ticket stub. This is why we were told rides would run an hour after opening (my guess is to keep you from asking for a refund before then, after it's too late). We told them it's false advertising to sell tickets when no coasters would be operating, guess what? "Tickets are for park entrance, not for rides!!!!!" We got our refund for tickets then had to fight for refund of parking by showing refund for tickets had been granted. Parking lot and park are owned by same co. Others only got a pass for future entrance, but we fought for a full refund.
I grew up with Knotts Berry Farm in my life as a child. This place is ruined. All they think about is the roller coasters and rides. What happen to the greatest hospitality in California? It was dirty. People that work there were rude and disgusting. None of my beloved restaurants and stores are gone. Ghost down is not kept up. It's disgusting. I miss it all. I will never go back ever. My husband and I left after 2 hours of total garbage. Who ever bought Knotts Berry Farm should be put out of business. Mr. & Mrs. Knott would roll over in their graves if they knew what happened to their beautiful amusement park of the old west. Motts Minitures are even gone, plus the fabulous Steak House. Shame on you!!!!
I went here last August. I'd never been before and didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot like Six Flags Magic Mountain, but with no lines. We got the $25.00 evening admission and were able to ride almost every major roller coaster in the park that night, and have a sit-down dinner (but not at the chicken place). I would definitely go back. They had many great roller coasters and it was a stress-free atmosphere.
I have visited Knott's many times over the last twenty years but the last time will probably be the last time. The park needs a facelift, peeling paint and a run down atmosphere prevails through out. Many of the staff is covered with piercings and tatoos(nice family atmosphere) and some were incredibly rude. There was a man who was incrediably drunk or stoned shouting obsenities at the staff and other guests while in a line up to enter the park and they let him in. He should have been removed by security. Over all, the kids enjoyed the bigger rides, but I couldn't wait to get out of there!!
Great atmosphere, the staff was friendly and upbeat, there were no lines early in the day. We loved it. Our 3 and 8 year olds loved camp snoopy. Dad and the 11 year old loved the rides. Mom enjoyed the gift shops and shows.
