Great pier experience

Wonderful Pier. Fun for the whole family, friends, couples, etc. A rather large pier offers plenty to do from morning till' sun down. There are great restaurants, souvenier/gift shops, fishing, guided boat sight seeing tours, whale watching, a large Arcade, fishmarket, it's own public sandy beach, and offers plenty to do for a full day of fun. Some of the shops are vacant compared to years ago in the pier's hayday, and this pier is not quite the size of Pacific Park and doesn't have the attractions that the Santa Monica pier has to offer, yet the Redondo Beach Pier is much more hassle free when it comes to parking and is much less crowded at any given time than it's Santa Monica bretheren, and just as historic, offering no shortage of a great experience and joy to visitors since the early 1900s. Free admission, but parking is not free, you can either park at the parking meters along the stretch of sandy beach next to the Pier, or at the Pier's 2 story parking structure, and some of the shops/restaurants will happily validate. The Redondo Beach Pier is perfectly nestled between the two other great beach towns of Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, which offers even more shopping, dining, bars, and clubs in the afternoon and after hours.
