Santee Alley, Los Angeles

I love it!!! everytime that I go I find great stuff, once I purshased some pants for like $20.00, if I would have gotten them anywhere else, they would have for sure costed me about $50.00

Santee alley is one of the best places to find a bargain. There are so many vendors on every corner. If you suggest a different price they will bargain with you. So many things to choose from. I bought Armani sun glasses for $4! They have belts, shoes, purses, jeans, contacts, jewelery, make-up, and so much more. Go early because it gets busy! I rate this place 10 out of 10!

That's the calling that you normally would hear when passing by vendors in Santee Alley. Good days to go are on Saturday morning because if you wait till afternoon, it can get hot and crowded in the alley. My sisters and i love shopping at "the alley". Though, be prepared of the stench of the sewers and being around trash. Also, the alley hot dogs are good, but beware that you will get 'the runs' when you get home. Overall, this is the place to find great deals, on shoes, purses, accessories, and designer knock offs. Good times, check it out!!

want great deals? a wide variety of stuff for people of all ages? then santee alley is for you. its a bit crowded so keep your eyes open. dont just buy, make sure you try to negotiate first. i bought diamonds worth 100 dollars for 60. a hat worth 14 bucks for 5bucks.good luck and enjoy.

Santee Alley was awesome!!!! I was there back in October. I got sunglasses (brand names such as LV, prada, channel, Gucci, Christian Dior), bags (LV) Tiffany bracelets for all my sisters and mom. I spent a lot of money but if i would of bought everything here in Canada it would of cost me a fortune. There are knock offs here in canada but they are very expensive. Not worth my money, however when i was at the Alley I was amazed on the pric es even thought it was all in US currency it was still much cheaper. You can also get good deals on perfume and cologne. 2 thumbs up for the ALLEY. I am now taking orders from my friends for the next time i go visit. I think everybody should go and visit the alley. It was a great experience for me. Mind you i love culture. I have travelled abroad quite a bit and i love being around people of different cultures and speaking different languages. They are actually hard working people there in the Alley, It feels so foreign and thats what i love the most!!!!! Its very crowded yes!!!!! But I love it because of the atmosphere. I am sure it would be easier to shop if there were less people but i think thats part of what makes it the Alley so special. Have fun shopping!!!!!!! THE DEAL FINDER!!!! If you are visiting LA, dont' miss out on Santee. Santee is a great place to spend at least a few hours.......the bargains are too numerous to list. The atmosphere is similar to shopping the bazaars of Asia & North Afica. If possible, avoid the heat of mid day. Mornings are the best for getting around, though the real alley life gets going about lunchtime. Parking is easy and there are plenty of food options.

Loved the atmosphere, the prices and bartering with the people. Great fun. I got great shoes, even though they are fake, I cant tell so Im sure most people wont either. It is hard to push a stroller and most stores wont allow you in with one, so if you can avoid it then thats nice, if not then oh well. There are a lot of kids there anyway.

The best way to get a lower price and Never allow yourself to pay taxes is buy from the same vendor, the more you buy the better price you will get(everything is better in wholesale in LA at least 6 pieces)tell the vendor to give you a price on an item and then ask him for a price for at least 6, and then tell him if you wave the taxes I am interested and see what happens,this works good for clothing 3shirts/3pants

this place is amazing you can get everything you want so cheap!!! you'll need a suitcase that day to bring home your stuff you'll buy so much. i was buying jewellery in LA boutiques for $50 etc i got the exact same jewellery in santee for $4. what a bargain. youll never shop again in a normal shop you'll wait till you come back here and spend a fortune. the cd's were $5. i love it!!! the atmosphere is great you wouldnt think you were in america

For more than 25 years I've found bargain after bargain in the Santee Alley, mostly the old portion contained between 12th and Olympic.For myself,family,girlfriends, friends. I'm a car salesman that has bought almost 100 business suits at one shop alone, that's Pop USA, about two doors up the alley from 12th street. They've treated everyone like a king, as long as I've been going there, and have even given me iced cappoccino on a hot day. They make everyone feel special. At the alley I've found bargains on everything from kids clothes, to shoes,to wallets, toys, t-shirts, leather jackets, and skirts for the ladies. It's always busy, 7 days a week. There are so many people that you have to be vigilent and watch your packages; but I feel pretty secure knowing that undercover police are usually in the alley, watching out for honest shoppers.
