Santee Alley, Los Angeles

WOW....@ first as I was driving there from Famoso, I thought I wasen't going to like it. I am going back and buying 100x more. Anything and Everything is there, from Knock off's, Tiffany bracelets, MP3's and much much more.

I read a lot about santee alley before going because i wasn't sure it was safe to go and if the bargains everyone says there was existed but wow!! there was a lot of things so cheap!! i bought a beautiful coach bag that retails for $389.00 for $40! of course it was a replica but it look just like a real one! women bring monye when you come here because you'll want to buy and buy! they have a lot of nice knock offs and sunglasses too. but some of them look like knock offs. the good sunglasses are locked in a glass case. those are the good ones that look exactly like real ones. but the cheap sunglasses that are knock offs are like $5 but the good ones that you cant even tell are fake are a little more about $15-20. but like always you can bargain. thats another thing be prepared to BARGAIN! and also bring cash. DO NOT pay with a credit card because they wont go down nothing. try to go mon-fri because weekends are packed!!!

It was amazing. My family and I had to pry ourselves out of the Alley because we couldn't hold anymore bags. The deals are unreal. You cannot go to LA and pass up on this awesome shopping experience. Rodeo has nothing on the Alley. We were there 3 weeks ago, and we're going back in 3 weeks - that's how good it is.

Let's be honest, you're not going there for the atmosphere, you're going there for the cheap stuff. And they have lots of that. Great place to buy counterfeit goods, TONS of selections. IMPORTANT: If you want sunglasses, avoid the venders who have them all hung up on an open display. They usually say the brand in unremovable letters across the lense and are very cheap looking with made up designs. (I saw sunglasses with the Chanel logo but had Gucci written across them) If you want good sunglasses, find vendors that have a glass display case (usually locked). There, they have really really really good fakes that are perfect imitations of the real ones. They are a little more $$, but totally worth it. Have fun there, it's crazy.

That is if you don't have that much money to spend. You can find almost anything you need, from clothes to backpacks to jewlery, at a low price. That's were I go shopping for my backpacks all the time. I'm one satisfied customer. It was worth going there, even if it is a little crowded. I'm used to it because I've gone there a few times. I woeuld recomend anyone that is looking for cheap stuff (meaning cheap as in inexpensive) or is visiting L.A to go to this place!

Santee Alley is great. You'll find some great bargins and lots of knockoffs that are pretty decent in qualities. If you don't see what you want, ask... sometimes they hide them in the back. If you have time, take a look at the stores around the alley. Sometimes they offer really good deals and are more willing to bargin with you. It's starting to be really hard to bargin at the Alley itself and all the vendors seems to have the same set prices. So, try the stores around the alley where they have less foot traffic & customers. If you can go during the weekday it'd be SO MUCH better than on weekends... you'll find parking, less people, etc... less stressful overall during the weekends. I also love the little assessory stores where things are "50 - 60% off". At these shops, you can find cute rings, rhinestone jewlery, hair assessories, earrings, etc for good prices also. Alley Dogs are great but so are the tacos... OH OH OH... get the MANGOS with lemon juice and chilli powder - YUMMI! Oh... and if you are looking for cheap fabrics (for clothing and upolstry... they are just couple blocks away. You will also find great value for evening / formal dresses that would otherwise cost 100's and you only wear it once... So, go and check out the Alley as well as all the stores around it.

I can't wait to go back to the Alley! There are so many purses, jewelry,sunglasses,etc. The prices are pretty decent unless your going for a designer handbag and it's a newer style your after be prepared to pay about $50 or more for it! You must try the bacon wrapped hot dogs, one of my favorites,pick a vendor that looks like they know what they're doing otherwise the hot dog might not be so good!

this place is incredible! there is sooo much to do and see. i personally belive in buying the real thing but this is fun to do with freinds. go to every stand that you can!!!!! i would not recommend eating any of the corner side foods, there i a burger king right off the main entrance of Santee alley. BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETERS!!!!!!!

I was at the Alley once a long time ago and loved it. I want to take my girlfreind when we go to LA for vacation. Could someone please give me directions on how to get there, cause it's been so long I forgot. Thank you.

This place is awesome! It's close and its smells better than T.J. Believe me I spent most of my college years in Tj. They have everything you need at the Alley. Clothes/ Shoes/ Material/ Food/ Music. There's mix of all kinds of culture and EVERYONE is willing to bargain!
