Long hailed as a Los Angeles tourist must-see, the 40-foot-high concrete donut perched precariously atop a little bakery shack on the corner of Manchester and La Cienega has become the stuff of legend. Randy's Donuts with the big donut has appeared in dozens of ads and television commercials across the globe, and that's not even the reason people flock to the shop - the reason is the donuts. Soft, doughy insides with sweet glazed or frosted outsides, these tasty treats are one of a kind. This place is notorious for somewhat surly service, long lines at times and harried workers. But one bite (and a good, hard look at the huge concrete donut on top of the building) makes it all worth it.
