disapointing

We drove from LA to brew 2 different beers. We were looking forward to this all week. Sampled their beers, found 2 we liked. Many we didn't-some had a cardboard taste or very astringent. Staff was very helpful the day we brewed. came back 2 weeks later to bottle, the beer was horrible! The hefeweizen was undrinkable, we did not bottle. The ale we did bottle, but it was still not what we had tasted 2 weeks earlier. We were hesitant to complain, when the staff tasted the hefeweizen, they said-wow that tastes good! That made us feel more awkward. So we bottled our marginal ale and went home.
We dumped it all when we got home.
Several years ago I brewed at a similar establishment in the SF bay area and had great results. I would not recommend this establishment. The one good thing is that this experience got me in to home brewing the next week. I know now that the problem with both of these beers is poor sanitation and sloppy technique.
We sampled the beer some other customers were bottling the day we were their, they had the same problems.
advice-for the amount 2batches(64 22oz bottles) cost, $200. You can get a nice complete kit from any number of vendors to brew your own!
