The John Anson Ford Theater complex houses two theaters: a 1,230-seat outdoor amphitheater and an 87-seat indoor space. One of the best outdoor venues in L.A., this intimate amphitheater is set into a hillside directly across from the Hollywood Bowl. Surrounded by lush greenery and cypress trees, audiences can enjoy a variety of family entertainment during the summer months (May to September). The theater is host to the "Summer Nights at the Ford" series, sponsored by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.

The ford theatre was a concert experience unlike no other. The place is stunning..not too over done but simple and nice. The staff is nice. Parking was easy, but once you park, you gotta stay for the whole show until the other cars are gone around you. The staff is nice Its totally worth going to catch a show.

WOW !!!!!!!!
By rocky44as, 08/18/05
I am a native southern californian [4 gen] and at 49 yrs old,ive attended many events at many of the several venues we are fortunate to have in this huge metropolis.IM TALKING ABOUT SUCH PLACES AS THE OLD MARINA PALACE in seal beach, the original GOLDEN BEAR in H.BEACH,THE SWING in san berdo,,etc etc.WHEN attending concerts, etc.,i wasnt really concerned with where it was ...just WHO IT WAS and WHERE I SAT.HOWEVER,that all changed when i attended AN EVENING WITH IAN ANDERSON awhile back.WOW !!!!!!!!!YES THE SHOW WAS GREAT,BUT I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE THEATRE.THE staff was actually friendly, and courteous to the point of being GENUINE,unlike most,if not all of the other places ive been to.Access was easy and parking was not a problem.THEN ...............WHEN WE ENTERED ......WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!WHAT A PLACE!!
