Once a firmly established rock 'n' roll hangout, this place has been discovered by the rest of the city and is as popular as ever. It's your typical bar that serves the drinks without umbrellas and without attitude. This has always been a solid spot for meeting new friends or old. And if you happen to be here during the summer, check out the patio in the back. There are not many better places to spend a summer night in L.A.
There are seven of us that used to be regulars at Boardner's. We gave it a final few tries over the last year but it has REALLY gone downhill since late 1995!
Hardly anyone goes anymore, all the fun people stopped going, the security staff is VERY rude, the drinks are usually pretty watered down, the DJ's don't let songs finish (they chop them in half) and they play the same old junk over and over again.
Boardner's has become a total waste of time and money. My friends and I will not be going there anymore. Do yourself a BIG favor and go somewhere else that you will actually enjoy yourself at! ~ Kim
Club London is an 80's Night that is hosted at Boardner's Every Sunday Night. The music is Great, the atmosphere is Cozy and it has kind of Goth feel to it. The people are friendlly and best of all, we got to hear all of our favorite music from the 80's like new wave, synthpop, alternative, Indie, Brit-Pop, Electro, and more. If you're in Hollywood, drop by Boardner's and check out Club London At Boardners of Hollywood Every Sunday.
