Skip the food- Go for the show
Please don't go to El Cid's flamenco show for the food, or you'll be SORELY disappointed. We ordered the shrimp with red rice. The rice tastes like Goya rice from the box, but less tasty. The shrimp and veggies were overcooked, and the dish overall was oversalted and watery. Yuck.
The performers on the other hand, were talented, energetic, and committed. Four dancers performed at the Wednesday night show we attended. There were two younger dancers and two more "veteran" dancers. However, they were all divine. The most elderly of the dancers danced with such feeling and emotion that I couldn't take my eyes off her. I got my tix at half price through Goldstar. Definitely worth the price for the show. Next time I'll skip the food and eat elsewhere beforehand.
