Opened in 1947, this theater is a great local community theater that features shows that delight and entertain the loyal audience that continues to return. It often has more than one show running (taking turns on the stage every other night), and produces both musicals and comedies. The theater is cozy, with the stage in the center and seat surrounding it, so nobody has a bad view. In addition, classes are offered in acting, tap dancing and stage combat. The family also runs Glendale Costumes, a shop that rents costumes taken from the sets of the theater's plays over the years. Tickets are available over the phone or at the Box Office.

What were they thinking?!!!!!! They mutilated and destroyed Brigadoon. Whoever was in charge of the casting needs to have their eyes and ears checked. Come on!!!!!! Even George Lucas has better taste!!! Also, where did the cast members get their voice lessons from, a barnyard?!!!!!!!!!! It's called a musical, helloooooo!!!!!

Any of their productions over the last 20 years...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/04
I have been coming to the Glendale Centre Theatre since my early dating days, and now I am a mom with 14 and 18 year old sons. My point of mentioning my kids, is that not only do my husband and I LOVE the shows, but so do our sons. With season tickets, we have really enjoyed this family time, and our sons invite friends who love the shows, too. The actors are terrific, the voices outstanding and we have NEVER, and I mean NEVER seen a bad show here in the 20 years we've been coming. What I love is that they pick great, proven shows that are either comedies (our kids favorites), or musicals. Being a theater in the round, I am amazed at the great things they do with the sets, and wherever you sit, you can see and hear well. The quality of the productions is absolutely first rate, which is why after all these years, it's typically a full house. And after the show is always a special treat, as the actors come out to the lobby and meet and greet the audience members. I highly recommend this theater. You'll have a great time.

very amateurish

Quality of the productions is not very good. I've seen two shows here and both times it seemed more like the neighborhood kids were putting on a show rather than people I was paying to see. Also the theater itself looks rundown and in need of repair. Your money is better spent somewhere else.
