Medieval Times

Description

Just down the road from Knott's Berry Farm is this dinner and show extravaganza. In this combination time capsule and restaurant, costumed knights compete in jousting and sword fighting, while you dine without utensils on chicken and dragon soup. It is a great place for the kids, for whom it doesn't get much better than watching sword fights while ignoring table manners. Admission price includes dinner and the show. Reservations are required; call the number listed below to make reservations and purchase tickets.

Super fun!
By ,
I have been to Medieval Times now four times in my lifetime. It is a good show every time. This last time I went with my children ages 8 and 11. They both had an absolute BLAST! Make sure you get a flag to root for your knight. It really makes the night a little more special. The drinks are priced rather heavily so if you order from the bar be prepared for a mighty bar tab. I have never upgraded my standard ticket as the only difference that I saw was that you get a piece of vanilla cake instead of the apply puff pastry and a picture with the queen or king included. Everyone takes this picture upon entering and during dinner they offer the picture for sale for $20. So it's up to you if you decide to upgrade or not. FYI: Every seat is a pretty good seat. Last but not least - the food is REALLY GOOD and fun to eat since you don't use utensils. They offer take home bags for anything you don't finish which is usually quite a bit. We would definitely go again even though it is on the pricey side. It's a just a fun and different place to go with your friends and family.

Medieval Memories
By ,
I really liked this place. I personally like medieval stuff. I liked the sword fighting, and horseback riding, the fake dying, and the eating with your hands (without your parents scolding you about it.) The food was also very delicious. I also liked one part of the castle that you have to enter when you first get there. It had all kinds of swords, etc. on the walls. Way cool! Pictures also can be taken with the King and Queen. Plus you get a cool program with photos of all the knights in them. If you are a medieval fan, freak, or just like that stuff (even if it's just a little bit) this is the place to go! I had a blast!

overpriced rip off
By ,
This experience was overpriced and cheesy. the food was god-awful. Instead of having a chance to relax and soak up the atmosphere, there was a tug at your sleeve every two minutes from somebody trying to sell you something. I was very disapointed
