Nyala Ethiopian Cafe, Los Angeles

Cafe Nyala has been one of my favorite restaurants in L.A. for years now. The food is really great there and the atmosphere is nicely decorated in a comfortable Ethiopian style. It can get quite busy in the evenings, but well worth the wait if there is one. In case you do have to wait for a table, there is a full bar which stocks some unusual Ethiopian style beers and ales along with Ethiopian honey wine. If you're coming with a large party (5 or more) you'll definitely want to call ahead and reserve a table. My favorite dish is the doro wat plate and a must is the traditional after dinner Ethiopian coffee. I've always had an excellent experience here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new dining experience.
