My favorite bar
The Studio Cafe, located at the foot of Newport Pier, is a cozy, often cramped, often noisy bar that serves wonderful drinks and great jazz. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual and friendly. They serve the BEST drink on the planet, bar none---the Adios. Made with a patented blend of blue curacao, triple sec, vodka, sweet and sour and soda, garnished with a Marascheno cherry, it's the perfect drink for Newport Beach. Careful--they go down smooth, but there's a reason for the big brandy snifter and small straw. This is a sipping cocktail, to be enjoyed with your girl and warm jazz, not gulped like a college keg drink! Spend the $25.00 for one of their "overpriced golf shirts," they're stylish and feature an embroidered Adios. As soon as I get back to Southern California, I know where I'm headed. Park in the "A" Street lot, early in the evening. It's free. Main Street isn't.
