This family-owned restaurant has been serving the heart of La Jolla for more than 40 years. Frequented by locals and businesspeople, the cafe is simply a part of the La Jolla tradition. The informal setting serves regular customers consisting of locals and the business crowd. Paintings and other works of art decorate the walls. Some of these artistic creations are for sale. Traditional American specialties top the menu here. For breakfast try oatmeal, banana pancakes or French toast. The lunch menu consists of salads, soups and burgers.
Great food and extremely friendly people there to seat and serve you! Be sure to try the milkshakes!! They are awesome!! We also enjoyed looking at all the older San Diego memorabilia all over!! It really made the atmosphere while having breakfast fun!!!
I've eaten here several times for breakfast and lunch. It is a local hangout but frequented by the who who of San Diego. The wervice is great, the waiters are friendly, the value is good, and the food quality, quantity and choices are good.
