Description

For the thrills of thoroughbred horseracing, visit this Albany fast track, located just five minutes from San Francisco over the Bay Bridge (take the Gillman exit). It is an old-fashioned race track with a modern makeover. When the first race starts at 12:45p, the fun begins. Make bets, drink beer, and cheer for your favorite horse. Contests and giveaways at the track are not uncommon. Ample parking and great views of The City by the Bay are an added plus. Admission USD3-15.

The Most Entertaining Place in the Bay Area

Golden Gate Fields is always a fun place! They have great giveaways that are free with admission, spectacular racing and beautiful fields. I know what you're thinking...horseracing?! But hey, this place doesn't just do horseracing. Yeah, they have CONCERTS (which get really fun--Tainted Love played and it turned into a huge dance party), SNOWDAYS (for kids this is great and an instant memory because you and your child can sled in the Bay Area--where else can you do that?), WINE FESTIVALS ( where you get to sample as many local Sonoma County wines as you'd like and enjoy live music). And let's not forget DOLLAR ($1) DAYS, where everything costs a dollar. Hot dogs, beer, and parking all cost just a dollar! Where can you find prices like that. Golden Gate Fields wants you to have fun. The Bay Area has the Niners, the Giants, the A's, and the Raiders... everyone knows that. What everyone needs to add to their list of places to go... Golden Gate Fields.

Great small track

Good day out for the whole family. Fun to watch these terrific animals. Good food, although not 5 star by any means still good variety. Cheap to get in/park and eat.
