Wild River Country Water Park, North Little Rock

Trip turned Rescue. We drove the three hours to have a fun day at the water park little did we know rather than the lifeguards saving a patron we would be! Myself and my friend (previous jobs as lifeguards) were watching the guard look attentive towards a patron in the pool and never saw him go in for anyone....thats when my friends husband recognized the woman DROWING and saved her himself....yes thats right, he saved them NOT the parks lifeguard. What makes this worse is not only was the guard on duty (that side of the wave pool) standing there but so was his supervisor- NEITHER ONE OF THEM ASKED THE WOMAN IF SHE WAS OKAY OR THANKED MY FRIENDS HUSBAND FOR DOING THEIR JOB!!!!! I would also like to mention in the short amount of time we were there we saw a total of 5 children missing....the park has a horrible plan in place to find the children. The park entrance was never closed down while the kids were missing and the pools and slides continued as though nothing was wrong. I understand it is the parents who lost the child but do they not realize how deadly water and a lost child can be!?!?!? COME ON!!!!! Some of the towers you walk up to get on your ride are getting wonky, the boards are creaking and bowing, in clear need of repair. yikes! Liability is all I can say. : ) I will say we did have a fun time but I dont see us returning in the future due to the nature of their lack of lifeguard training, lack of maintenance (towers to get to rides and flat tubes) , and poor plan for lost children. You are led into here beliving this is a family friendly place when in fact they could probably care less if you made it out alive. :)

We bought season passes off season so reasonably priced. My kids love the place! All the staff is very friendly and it never seems overly crowded so you don't have to spend long time waiting. The wave pool and lazy river give old ones like me a place to cool off, haha.

We were traveling 600 miles to visit family in Arkansas, and we wanted a fun place to take the kids, so we were told about this place. We ordered 4 tickets online, but the credit card was charged for 6 extra tickets. The bathrooms here were very unclean. Almost everyone that worked there seemed as if they did not like their job, they were very rude, and the food was not worth the money. When we called to see why the card was charged for so many tickets, I was told pretty much that it was my fault, but he could only reverse 5 tickets, not all 6. But you can clearly see that only 4 of us used the tickets, because I only ordered 4.

I think the Life Guards are on top. Everyone of them is very professional and are always on the look out. The food is okay. There are tables set up with water so people do not get dehydrated. Plenty of seating in the sun and covered seating. If you want a certain place to sit, get there early, if not, don't complain. The season Pass is the way to go. I have no problems. Love this place.

The park was fine food sucked services sucked spent $41 on 4 meals that again sucked the people at the food booth could not have been rudder and took so long for any service know it was busy but not that bad [ 5 th of july] . We had 2 babies with us needed table in the shade so we could not pick up any go out to the tables out in the front with food of are own Please improve food and services thank

BATHROOMS WHERE NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could be a fun place if a little more effort was put into cleaning!!!

OUR WHOLE BAND IS PLANNING TO GO THIS MAY! AND IM READING ALL THIS STUFF PEOPLE ARE SAYING! I REALLY NEED 2 KNOW IF WE SHOULD GO THERE, OR 2 MAGIC SPRINGS??? SOMEONE HELP!!! PLZ SOME1 HELP US! IT IS ALOT OF PEOPLE IN OUR BAND AND WE ARE LOOKIN FOR FUN! PLZ HELP US!!!

I recently took a group of girl scouts to visit this park. I asked all parents to go to be an extra set of eyes, but I was not prepared for what happened. My daughter (who is a very good swimmer, but very young) and a friend swam out over their heads in the wave pool. I was just a few feet behind them, when a tube and the waves continued to push them out further. I went after them and also ended up over my head and also with a leg cramp. With a girl in each arm I treaded water, and screamed for help, at the top of my lungs 5 TIMES and a lifeguard NEVER came in to help us. THE LORD SAVED US THAT DAY. I have thought about going back, just because we did have fun, but the more I have thought about it, I believe that I will try my luck at Hot Springs.

My family had a blast. Has something for everyone in the family. It was very clean, of course wear shoes in the bathroom. Workers are very friendly. We are going again this Thursday.

We went this past weekend and we had a blast. I was kind of apprehensive about going after reading all of the comments, but I went anyway. There were three adults and 6 children and we didn't have one complaint. The boys even got out of the water and played basketball. We were able to ride everything in the park and a couple of the rides we rode twice. You really have to check it out for yourself. You get what you pay for and you also determine the outcome of your visit. I am definitely going back.
