2 reviews for Sanctuary Cove
the mostpeaceful spot in the desert
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/27/09
The Cove is tucked away in the Tucson Mountains, almost hidden, but with beautiful vistas. In the spring and fall, the desert there grows lush and green. It is cut from mostly volcanic rock, and can make for challenging hiking. There are several easy trails around the simple stone chapel. It's a great place for meditation, or reflection, but mostly, it's just the best way to experience the beauty of the desert, up close and personal. We go at least twice a year, and have always found something new with each visit. I recommend it for all that are new to the desert.

Relax in Peace, Hike at your own Pace
By Tucson, 01/22/06
I love everything about this beautiful hiking spot. It is on Meditional grounds and really makes you appreciate why we were created. You can take the leisure hikes guides by inspirational plagues along the way. Or, you can choose to do the full, to the top medium/hard hike.
