Description

A few years ago, when owner Jo Jensen learned that Baskin-Robbins would not renew her franchise agreement, she decided to go on her own. Instead of closing the store, she hooked up with another ice cream manufacturer in Santa Barbara and now serves up creamy ice cream that is more flavorful than the former corporate variety. This place offers 50 flavors for a single cone. Of course, there is also the whole range of sundaes, banana splits and floats to choose from.

great place but it has moved

great ice cream. lots of interesting flavors. Way better than B + R. New location : E. Side of Campbell just South of Speedway (near breuggers bagels and Miss Saigon)

THE BEST ice cream in Tucson!

Santa Barbara Ice Creamery is soooo much better than the major chains! The ice cream seems to be of a higher quality, with more variety. The seasonal peach flavor has big chunks of sweet peaches, and it's not just anywhere you can walk in and order a good spumoni ice cream. In my opinion, this is absolutely the best ice cream in Tucson. Santa Barbara Ice Creamery received the "Best of Tucson" award multiple times from the Tucson Weekly, so I know I'm not the only person who thinks it's great. When you visit, please keep in mind they do not accept credit cards. That said, I recommend you visit very soon. I know I will.
