Ric's Cafe

The reason we frequent Ric's is for the convenience. We honestly don't know why, other than that, we keep returning. Our ongoing complaint is padding the bill prices. This seems to be a constant concern among the regulars that visit Ric's. We aren't sure why this happens, other than waiting to see if we catch it or as explained to us one time - the prices in the computer had been changed and the menu prices had not. Our reply is: well, then change one or the other. The service is also questionable. It varies on o.k. I'll wait on your table if the owner tells me to or I won't even if the owner tells me to. In addition to this, the owner will wait tables when this benefit should be passed on to the staff so they can collect the tips instead of the owner. Sooooooo, call us crazy for returning but at the end of a day, a short drive is worth something.

Ric's has a wonderful patio where live music is played every Saturday. Complimenting the fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere are an excellent wait staff. My wife and I love to sit on the patio on Saturday night, sip wine and listen to some great music!

My primary complaint is that Ric's has incredibly slow service. Secondary complaint is that the food is overpriced and lackluster. My husband and I, who live in Tucson, went to see a friend who performed on a Saturday night. While the Fat-tire beer battered onion rings were decent, the ribs were tough and Caesar salad small and limp. Sitting outside to listen to the jazz music while watching the sun set was the best part of our whole evening, (i.e. it made the 35 minutes we waited for our onion rings and the 55 minutes we waited for our salad pass by faster).

I must say that Ric's Cafe is Tucson's best keep secret. The menu was alitte small but it still contained a good verity especially in the seafood area. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent. The wait staff was very friendly. Listening to the Jazz band and dining on the spacious patio was very relaxing. I would recommend this resturant to anyone looking for a relaxing peaceful dinner. Great place for a first date!

The food was GREAT! The kids said their food was the best food ever! My food was great and at a ok price! I am making this my special restutaunt!
