This is the "drink-and-party-all-night" good time restaurant in Tucson. If you go here between 10p-1a in the late summer without an article of UA Wildcat clothing, you might leave in a hurry with a swift kick on the backside and a Bud Light dumped on your head. Due to plenty of open space, relaxed atmosphere and collection of game machines, this is actually a good place to bring the kids before 7p. The food selection consists of half-pound burgers, hot sandwiches, cheese sticks, buffalo wings, a 10-ounce steak, a kid's menu, and salads for those ladies trying to avoid the "freshman fifteen." Oh, and the beer: a wide selection on tap and bottled, both domestic and imports.
the wildcat house rocks! certain aspects of the establishment would encourage some not to attend. you are going to wait not matter where you go! service is key. those whom provide that for you are the ppl who serve you......this is a job. a hard job. do you want to talk or be served?
Five years ago I wrote a review on Wildcat House as one of my favorite places, a must visit. NOT ANYMORE! It seems with the passing of local competition such as The Bum Steer, they no longer need you here. My last stop we were instructed to "get in line" for the privilege of buying a pitcher of beer; we left. I have stayed gone for my past three trips. This boring place needs to change their attitude before they end up like the Bum Steer. They don't seem to need your business here! STAY AWAY!!
I realize that Friday nights are for Rock but i go the wild cat house often. They use to start playing hip pop at 1030 to get people out on the floor. Once that happens the dance floor is packed. Now when i go there i wait until almost midnight for them to get hippop going and maybe 5 or 6 people get on the floor before then. Why are we paying to go if they don't care about what gets the people on the floor.
We've never eaten there but have heard the food is great. We like to go there on Friday nights when they specialize in Alternative Rock music (DJs). It is well worth our two + hour drive to get there. The dance floor is huge. The overall crowd is young but they accept us late 40 something nearly hippies who love to dance. The drink specials are great and at 10:00 pm they hit the juice on the huge speakers of the sound system and you can almost vibrate across the dance floor. Great fun and fantastic place to party. We stay at the Flamingo Hotel, also on Stone Avenue, just a few blocks up the street. It is within walking distance so we don't have to drive.
I always go here when in Tucson for a long lunch. Start with 3-4 bneers from everywhere and always follow it with a Wildcat 1/2 pound burger with a salad bar full of trimmings! An onion lovers delight! There are no equals, trust me!
i thought i was going to die when i was rooting for a big ten team against asu with all the eyes burning a hole thru my body a few years back.anyway.i survived and what a place you have ....great fun at any hour
Good drink specials all night long, great atmosphere good music of all kinds with a big dance floor, for bars to chose from, 5 big screens, and lots of people to rock out with all night long. Including some u of a booty:) I would recommend all party people check it out on their visit to the old pueblo.
