I went in for a pedicure while on vacation. The woman never clipped my toe nails or barely filed them. The polish was only painted down the center of my toes. I took a closer look about 2 hrs later and my pinkie toe nail was all jagged like it was ripped. The worst part, I asked for her to scrub the calluses a little more and she offered me a "callus treatment", so of course I said yes. I found out that was an additional $25 on top of my $45 I was paying for the pedicure. Half the cost for some liquid to be put on my feet?!?! I thought it would be a nice treatment as the place looked good but boy was I wrong.
I've been to the Fango Spa twice. I had originally booked them online for my wedding hair, as I was booking my wedding from out of town and didn't come up with a lot of choices onlines. However, once I was in town, I made sure to check out their services before the big day. And while I didn't get my hair or makeup done, I did go in for a pedicure. It is in a refurbished house tucked away off the main drag - not easy to spot from the street. While the owner has taken care to put some nice furnishings in there, once you get to the back of the room you can see just how outdated it really is. The staff are also rough around the edges, not what I would call a refined place whatsoever. The pedicure itself was reasonably priced, however, I barely got a pedicure out of it (which explains the low price)!! I left with the same callouses I had on when I got there, they don't put a top coat on the nail polish (who doesn't do that?!) AND they don't even clean the polish off of your skin around your nails from where they missed (unbelievable). Unwillingly to let them do my wedding hair and makeup at that point (how could I trust them when they were so sloppy), I went back to use up the credit from my deposit (it was either that or lose the money). I had a different esthetician this time, but she did the exact same things! While they did manage to give me the extras in order to use up my credit (slathering me in Sedona mud and later in wax), it didn't really matter - I just finished repainting my nails and taking off my own callouses. What was the point, really?
Frankly, don't bother. It's a cheap place to go if you want the minimum, but I would never, ever go back. Don't be lured in my the price - you'll be disappointed. If you're looking to really treat yourself and feel special, this is not the place for you.
My husband had his first massage here & overall it was a good experience. Not overly crowded, the rooms were small, & didn't have the "extras" but staff was friendly & inviting. Definately the best price in town & the therapists did good work on both of us.
