My friend and I got in line for the Willie Nelson Concert. After moving along at a fairly good rate, we got closer to the entrance for seating. I did wonder WHY i kept seeing people walking BACK towards back of line. Well, I discovered right before going in to sit down, that we needed a band on our wrist in order to have an alcoholic beverage. SOOOoooooo we had to go to the back of the line afterwards - it was only fair to the others waiting in line. This was a real disappointment and so were all the J-Jons... I will return though again I think..
How unorganized can you get? People were lined up at the Shuttle Stop #5 (because that is where we were all told to park) and yet there were only a couple of shuttles running at the time. They would go to all the other Shuttle Stops and when the ONE shuttle did stop at #5 only about 6 people were allowed on because they were already filled up from the other stops. It ended up that most of us walked quite a distance and up a big hill to get to the casino to get our tickets. Get in there and they tell us the "Will Call" area has been moved to outside near the pavilion. Get there to pick up our tickets and it is all confusing but end up getting them then have to walk all the way back to the casino because that is where the line was. People were so confused with where they were suppose to be going. I don't understand why it wasn't organized better since Cliff Castle has had many concerts before. This wasn't their first. Not sure if I will ever attend another one there. Years ago they seemed to have it run smoother than this one. Overall, it was such a bad experience and the tickets showed that Willie Nelson was to perform at 7pm and it didn't start til 8pm. No one bothered to inform the audience of this. People were getting restless sitting there for so long. The concert only last an hour and half. Felt it was really a rip off.
My girlfriend and I have been to Cliff Castle on a couple of occasions. The property is quite nice and obviously expensive to build based on the 'tight machines'. If you are looking for a quick investment with a poor return this will be your kind of place... In Laughlin or Las Vegas casinos you here bells ringing and people cheering, that enthusiasm seems to be absent here.. Take your bankroll intended for this place and send it to the Red Cross or some other 'Worthy Cause' at least then you will be left with some satisfaction rather than feeling duped and broke after leaving here.. My friend suggests that you can just drive by and throw a check out your window as you pass Cliff Castle!! There are other causes much worthier than these crooks!!!
Good Luck, you'll need it!!!
the gallery was the worst service we ever had was seated and sat for 20 min and no service asked for water and no body showed up as sat watied stil no show at least we got tea and coffebut hey as sat waiting i notice a man upset about his steak he was complainng to his wife and friends that was not cook still verry bloody we got up left and the way out i thx the hostest wonderful service and told dont now they became # 1hope fuly the new casino by twin arows be more proactive
my young son was singled out, and when I asked the female bartenter, by the bowlling alley, she snapped and called security, then he bullied me, where I couldn't respond or they would throw me out. I put a complaint, and the manager said, this is serious, and that they will call me back, still have not heard back. I do like the Casino overall, but in there you are always guilty or the one at fault. Security in my opinion needs P.R classes.
If you like tight slots this is the place for you. The computer guys in the back scheme very hard to rape every dollar from you so bring lots of cash and enjoy! Not a place for couples to game unless you have a large dispoable income you don't care about throwing away. Cordial but not couteous staff and BAD coffee. Nice bldg.though. Good luck
Two girls I know got kicked out and humiliated at this place for both "appearing" to be intoxicated. The casino bartender told the police to throw out one girl. The other girl I know went on a seperate evening and was also asked to leave by 5 police. Both girls were in their 30's and of the same ethnicity (hispanic). Not sure if it was the age or ethnicity. But either way, BEWARE. By the way, one had had 3 glassed of wine and the other 2 beers. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!! How embarassing...they wouldn't even let them back in to get their friends who were their rides.........in both cases! ANYONE ELSE with a similar experience????
I went on the weekend of the concert and had a blast.... the workers were all friendly and u would hardly see that at any other casino in arizona... You guys should put more concerts on during the year
Machines are tight. 'Nuf said... You will notice that winning is not very common here. I recommend Laughlin, NV or some place with more regulation. Everybody was losing including me. These casino's regulate themselves and you'll notice right away. You can lose a hundy in less than 20 minutes even if you're smart.
