Checking out was slow But I like the Guitars there, thats really all though I am a giutar player (ROCK ON!)

Monty's is a great place! I was looking for something specific, and Monty helped me find it. He also helped me with all the starting supplies I'd need to get going. I never felt condescended to at all, even though I asked a lot of really "green guitarist" questions. A great deal and brilliant service. The only way I could improve Monty's would be to move the shop closer to home.

Monty's Music is an excellent place to purchase musical supplies as there is a wide variety of new and used gear, mostly as guitars (acoustic and electric), basses, amps, and drums. Monty (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable about music, both theoretical and practical, and is always around to give advice and lead customers to their desired instrument. Overall, a warm mom and pop store in a sea of cold conglomerates."

We have rented and bought from this store, and were pleased with the quality, service and overall experience. I will definitely use Monty's for all future musical purchases.

It was nice to go to a music store and have that neighboorhood hang vibe. Monty- the store owner- was great to talk with and was knowledgeble about current trends in music. Good selection of sticks and accessories.

Monty Eglin is the sole proprietor of this little gem, and, apperently, a fun manager. It is obvious that his staff enjoy working there. The store has a small, old school east coast feel, complete with locking gates inside the entry. The merchandise is consistently at great value, and the staff is knowledgable. Truly a great find for musicians of any sort in the valley.

Here is a terrific "mom & pop" shop. Personal service, great line of pro grade gear and entry level gear. Great prices - lower than major chain stores, and will custom order for you. Knowledgable staff and teachers for all sorts of instruments. Best kept secret in Scottsdale, AZ!!!
