During the Fourth of July weekend every year, this small town puts on it's Western finery. Prescott is home to the very first, 'Cowboy Tournament,' which was held in Prescott on July 4th, 1888. Since 1979 Prescott Frontier Days, Inc. has helped support various charities with the proceeds. Exciting events have included Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding and Wild Horse Racing.
It was a great time for the family and kids. Perfect family outing for the July 4 weekend. Will go back next year.
Suggest buying a ticket beforehand on the internet or over the phone. The line to get a ticket is at least 45 minutes on the weekend. Buy tickets in advance! Plenty of seats in the shade, so no worries on getting there early. Enjoy.
