I have just moved to the area and like the facility very much. Tennis people are always a little stand-offish at first which I think is the nature of the game (I don't want to waste my time playing with someone who is not up to my ability, type of thing!!) The staff is not particularly friendly but I think that is more their personality rather than an effort to be snobbish or unfriendly. Just not big outgoing people or it seems to me but the level of tennis is great and there is a place or activity for just about every skill level and certainly can't gripe about the price which is very reasonable. Easy for me as an unknown to come in and pick up a game.
The courts are nice, but we found the staff to be stand-off-ish and unfriendly. We recently moved to the area and wanted to get started in adult leagues and activities but were unimpressed with the service and information we received. We then visitied the facility in Surprise and decided it was a much friendlier atmosphere, despite a little longer drive.
The staff is friendly and very helpful. The "demo" program is definitely one of the benifits of coming here. If you are unsure of which tennis racquet would best fit your playing ability/potential then you should definitely sign up for either a 7-day or 30-day demo program. The turn-around time for racquet restringing is usually one day.
Tennis courts are in good playing shape, with one going lessons, clinics most of the day. The prices at this place are competitive as well.
My husband and I visited the Paseo Racquet Club to inquire about tennis league play. The person we spoke to (who was one of the owners of the business) was unfriendly and not at all receptive to helping us find out about the league program in the area. I would definately NOT recommend this facility to my friends - although the courts are nice enough. I think the city of Glendale should look to make a change in operational staff - seems like the existing staff is burned out - or maybe they are just unfriendly and unhelpful by nature!
Person at the desk when I checked in was very surly and not helpful. Courts are in good shape, but my experience was not good. I had not been there before and had heard good things about it. I might go back again someday, but not soon.
Paseo is a great place to play tennis (I go every week). The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The courts are almost always available and there always seems to be some type of activity going on from clinics, to leagues, to tournaments...it's a lot of fun. I definitely recommend going there. And as if that were not enough, they just resurfaced all of their courts. :)
