Get ready for old-fashioned fun at the largest roller rink in the city. Skate to a dazzling laser light show, with disco balls spinning overhead. Video games circle the rink, with coin-operated pool tables scattered about. Getting tired? Pop into the snack bar for a quick nibble and the soda of your choice. Hours of operation vary with times set aside for adults, kids and parents, and the "come one, come all" sessions.
The Great Skate is where it's at if your in the Valley of the Sun. It's where it all started for me as a quad skater back in the old school days. The floor is smooth poly-urathane. And the music is upbeat. It's good clean fun and exercise at a Great price. I live in TX now but when I'm in town the Great Skate is on my list of places to visit.
i really only like club54 if someone made a a Dance club for older kids they would make alot of money cuz yeah club54 is fun but all the older kids HATE all the little kids. and it would just be better for a dance club to come that was for friday and saturday nights. and the ages being 13-17 instead!!!

While visiting family in Glendale, I decided to take my children to the near by roller rink for the Mon. night all you can eat pizza on July 10, 2006.
I found, this is not exactly a family environment. The constant inappropriate rap music with lyrics like "let's do it doggie style" was disturbing to me and my young children. Don't bother requesting any other music, I did, and was ignored.
The lack of supervision on the rink floor was ridiculous (there was none). A group of 6 or 7 teenagers were all skating in unison at fast speeds, weaving in and out of others and had no regards for other skaters. They caused numerous other skaters to fall. I felt it was an extremely dangerous situation.
It was an over all poor experience and I pretty much threw away $60.00. Go to the movies or Golf and Stuff at Metro Center instead!
It was expensive for what we got.
I spent most of my time in line. First waiting for skates that were in poor condition and in line again for a different pair that were worse.
I waited in line for pizza that was mediocre and had to go back to the car to store my things because the lockers didn't work and just kept eating my quarters.
By the time I finished getting things together it was time to go. I will never go back.
Well i was goin there for about 2 or 3 years every weekend. I guess you could call me a regular, but after a while it started getting boring the fun was gone! Most of the employees that put in so many hours were let go and replaced after every thing they did for that place. Maybe it was just the people or maybe it was just the skating that i loved but i hate going back there because of how much its changed. All there is now are little 13 year old girls tryin to hook up with 18 year olds. Its really pathetic actually. Although I'll never forget the times i spent there. For the most part it was all drama and games, if i could go back and change anything i wouldnt cuz i loved every minute of it!
The kids absolutely love going here. We often spend lots of time here on the weekends. Parties here are also great. Lots of fun and just think the kids are getting exercise too. Friendly people and great games for the kids to play. Wide variety in age groups from the very young kids to adults.
