For all the naysayers..... Sorry your experiece was not as good as mine. I have been to this mall several times and it is awesome. There are a ton of stores with fantastic deals. You could spend the whole day there and still need to return for more shopping!
This mall has horrifying bathrooms, its always overcrowded, the local teens and families are incredibly rude to others walking along and this mall is FULL of those annoy vendors that WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE. Even if you say, "No, thank you." or full on ignore them, they will continue to try and grab you making you feel very UNCOMFORTABLE! Its TWO vendors between each store entrance so have with that! The bathrooms are just disgusting and always smell.
I have worked at this mall for over two years and I live close by. I hate going to this mall because of the rude and nasty people it brings in, the horrify bathrooms, the lame food court (I can go to BK anywhere in the country), the billion of stand alone vendors that won't leave people alone even after repeated walk-bys. There are very few places to take children and all the great stores that were once here, (Coca-cola store, barnes and noble, virgin mega store, mikasa, ect..) have LONG been gone and replace by things you'll never care to go into. Its an "oulet" mall full of "outlet" stores that don't care about their looks or how they treat people. All the great places have left and this mall will continue to go down and down.
This is a great place to go for cheap christmas gifts if you can find parking and get inside the doors come holiday time. Or for old people to walk around in early in the morning.
Hit Chandler mall, Paradise Valley or various other malls (there's one per city). You'll have a better time, there are better stores, better places to eat, and more considerate people and stand alone vendors.
I have to say somthing to the other people that has posted about this. You people are soo wrong about the Arizona Mills Mall. It is a wonderful place. The bathrooms are really nice and there is so much shoppinging to be done at that mall. I do understand that should be more play areas for the childeren but there are so many teenagers that go there, you dont really need to have childeren there. I am going there in a couple of days and i just want to say look out because you people are so wrong about writing a bad review. I want to say to the people that have never been there and they are visiting go to that mall, you will love it there and will want to come back.
The bathrooms are freakin' disgusting. There's toilet paper clumps all over the stall. The floors are sticky. There's no hooks on the doors. Only one working hand dryer. It was awful. The rest of the mall is pretty good though.
While AZ Mills might have great discounts they DO NOT have great bathrooms! My mother and I used a mall bathroom near JCPenney Outlet, in this bathroom we witnessed a most disturbing sight! Two restroom attendants were taking a bag of old half used rolls of toilet paper and re-rolling them together to make one large roll of toilet paper! I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want someones germy fingers all over something I have to use for myself! Let alone, they were pulling them out of a large plastic bag, WHO KNOWS where the rolls came from, where they've been, what they've touched. EW! Not only did I fret about whether or not my toilet paper was being recycled but there was ZERO soap for my mother and I to wash our hands with when we were finished! Great! Yummy! Thanks Mills Mall for the sickening experience! Oh and just to note, when I called to alert them of this disgusting account, each time I told the story I was transferred from one person to the next until I was finally emailed a complaint form to turn in. It was like no one even cared. Wow.
I absolutely loved it. I have never been to Arizona before and was amazed. My best friend had taken me there for the day and I didn't know were to go first! I hope to be back in October for another visit and I will be sure to come back in.
Since i've relocated to Tempe about 2 years ago, AZ Mills has become one of my favorite diversions. The prices I think are very reasonable and they do have a great deal of selections as far different types of stores appealing to different demographics.
Like the others mentioned, it can get very crowded and loud over the weekend but overall it's not that bad. Virtually anytime you go you will see parents with young children, which is cool.
Basically its a great place to shop, eat (especially the standout restaurant Rain Forrest Cafe) people watch, and get pampered, be sure to visit Fashion Day Spa for massages and facials that are out of this world!
