When your children are growing like weeds, keeping their closet updated in terms of style and size can sometimes cost an arm and a leg. Consider Other Mothers, where people can bring in outfits their tiny tots have outgrown as credit towards purchasing other pre-owned clothing. Their range covers everything from newborn items to outfits for seven to eight year olds. Also featured is a selection for the moms-to-be.
This is a terrific place! My daughter is growing like a weed, and it's so expensive to replace clothes constantly. Yes, you do have to take the time to go through everything, but that's the fun part. I found a pair of Doc Martens (for myself) for $9.99!! Brand new!
I really love this store. It's like going on a treasure hunt!
It is so expensive to go out and buy new baby and maternity clothes, just to outgrow them and have to replace them. Other Mothers is a great bargin. I love that you can bring in nice clothes that you own and get store credit for new stuff. They have toys, childrens clothes, cribs, womens and maternaty clothes, and just about anything else you need for your family. I never go buy anything for my kids without checking this place first. I also like that there are 3 of these stores in the Phoenix area.
I've found great finds, stuff from Nordstroms, Dillards, Gap, Old Navy, Macy's. Sure, you have to pick through the stuff, and some days you won't find anything. And I'm really picky, so it has to be like new, and sometime I pay what I would have found it for on clearance, but it's kind of an adventure.
I also bring my kids clothes to Other Mothers. I buy most of their clothes at the stores mentioned above, and they outgrow them so quickly, the stuff I bring in has been worn only a couple of times.
So if I can exchange the stuff I bring in for even a few outfits, it makes it a little easier to part with my kids clothes.
Not the cleanest place in the world, bring the hand sanitizer. It's definately a resale shop full of used clothes and shoes, so I guess that's to be expected.
