The regulars here probably still refer to this restaurant as the Lone Star, its former name. Other than the name, not much has changed at this favorite mid-town haunt. Chicken-fried steak is still a menu staple and the steaks, burgers and other Texas treasures are still washed down with a longneck lager. The Texas tone is set with stuffed armadillos and Lone Star license plates tacked up on the walls. Dinners range $8-18 with your choice of sides. Try the mortar-like mashed potatoes!
