Want to spend the night in the most rustic, natural surroundings at the Canyon? If so, you will need a backcountry camping permit. This information center offers permits by mail or in person and offers additional discounts when annual permits are purchased. The cost of a backcountry use permit for overnight stays is USD10, plus USD5 per person. This gives you access to all backcountry campgrounds, except for Phantom Ranch 's dorms and cabins.
