At 7,406 feet, Grandview Point is one of the highest lookouts along the south rim, providing sightseers with a unique view looking down on the mountains. Due to its altitude, it receives more moisture, which in turn brings more vegetation than to other areas along the south rim. This is where Grandview Trail descends into the canyon to take hikers by the site of the old Grandview Hotel, one of the original tourist facilities in the late 1800s.

PAPILLON GRAND CANYON HELICOPTERS South Rim

we had this 30 minutes Chopper ride over the gaint canyon, the view was really breath taking... there was this narration in two languages (eng/esp) get to know more about the bird view we see.... ride cost around 150$ um... if you have not takeen a chopper ride yet.. this is a must go ...
 
 
 
 
 
Breath Taking

I flew helicopter tours at the Grand Canyon for six years and believe me I found something new almost every day...I recommend going to this national park in the off season to avoid the over population..Make hotel reservations at least six months ahead of your planned visit..and allow for more than one day if you are into walking the canyon...
