World Famous Sultana, Williams

After riding the train to the Grand Canyon we stopped into the Sultana Bar after a recomendation from some locals we met on the street. We had our five year old grandson with us. He enjoyed the atmosphere as did we. There is a small attached restaurant in the back that has GREAT BBQ ribs and hot wings. The first night in Williams we ate at a Mexican restaurant, well sort of Mexican, anyway that meal was about $95. The next night at Sultana's we ate ribs and hot wings. We ate all we could hold plus had a few drinks and it set us back $65 including the drinks. That was for four adults and a child. So if you are from New Your City and want to try something with a little Western flavor may I suggest Sultanas.

Not sure what the poor reviews were about or what these people expected. This bar is a real part of history. A speakeasy below the police station used to be, backgrounds on the trophy animals on the walls, a look at an old fashioned theater and stage that has seen plenty of vaudeville and silent films. The bartender started right in with a welcome and the history. Does the place ROCK? Didn't see it. But, if you want to relax in an old-tyme bar with lots of history, this is the place to go. Enjoyed my time there a great deal.

This is the absolute best authentic experience for a western working cowboy/biker bad boy bar! Anything goes...Great drinks, pool tables, pedestrian street traffic....You really need to spend the whole afternoon and evening. You can't really enjoy this experience until you've had a few drinks. The character of this place just soaks into you. Loosen up, plan to walk to your motel and let loose!

The bartender was ok, just an employee that really didn't add any flavor to the place. A very drunk old lady started dancing stupidly, and another drunk man was rude to many. We did however get to play "free" pool since the table was broken. Drinks are regular price. THis is the real thing, why go to prescott when you can go to a real wild west bar the service was so knowledgeable and helpful. THe drinks were substantial and very tasty. I would stop here on every trip to the state of arizona. THe owner by the way is cool as heck. thanks for the great fun.
