Thorpe Park

Description

Flagstaff's sunshine climate inspires a day at the park. Whether you want to plan a picnic, watch a rousing rugby match, cheer for the boys of summer or take your dog for a scenic run, this park is the perfect setting. Four baseball fields and a concession stand cater to baseball and softball fans in season. A grassy multi-functional field begs the feet of soccer and disc golf players. Picnic tables and benches offer rest and shade. Laughter from the playground permeates the ponderosa pines. Call the administration for a schedule of sporting events and activities for all ages.

We take our husky to this dog park every winter to let her run in the snow. She loves it. Great huge park!! Fenced in and two areas for big and little dogs..

Bark Park for dogs
By ,
Don't forget to visit the Bark Park at the sports complex section of Thorpe Park. Some agility equipment and lots of friendly big dogs. Small area for older/small dogs available too.

wonderful disc golf
By ,
I took the family disc golfing here - it was wonderful. The park is beautiful and the course was well marked and fun. Public restrooms at the adjacent senior center. The place is easy to find and well worth the visit. I would love to have a course this scenic and fun in California. Playing amongst the pines was so scenic and challenging. I'll play here again the next time I am in the Flagstaff area for sure. I went on a weekday and there were very few people playing the course or using the park at all.

Great Little Out Of The Way Park
By ,
Has it all, Biking, large playground for kids, Disc Golf course, hiking trails, tennis courts. A very nice place to visit. We played the disc golf course and it was one of the best I have played in the country. The tennis courts are lit at night too.

Go to Thorpe Park, NOW!
By ,
Get a annual pass, it is well worth the money. Especially on a warm day, however it is still brilliant on a wet, rainy day that I experienced today- british weather!
