U.S. Space and Rocket Center
Description
Located just southwest of Huntsville about two hours from Birmingham, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center is one of the most extraordinary destinations in Alabama. On display here are rockets, boosters, capsules and space suits used in NASA missions over the years. There is also an IMAX movie theater and a summer space camp for children. The center is open daily except major holidays. The admission price includes a trip to the nearby Marshall Space Flight Center, where you can watch the construction of NASA's new space station.
