My favorite ballpark
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/05
This is perhaps the finest example of what baseball had intended to house a ball field, ever. A distant reminder to an era when baseball was truly America's pastime. No luxury boxes, exploding scoreboards or diamond vision. Simply a beautiful green and white ballpark constructed of steel, concrete and wood. One can visit the ballpark , find a seat and image the greats that played here. I have visited 17 major league ball parks, Rickwood field is my favorite of all.
