Mexican Folklore and Tequila Tour

Description

If you are bored of the same old tourist attractions, take a Mexican folklore and tequila tour. Here, you will experience real Mexican traditions. Music is an integral part of this country's culture and on this tour, you will have the opportunity to learn all about Mariachi musical instruments. After the first part of the tour, it is time for the tequila. More than 100 brands are available for the tasting. Even more unusual, you will even get to taste raicilla, a potion that was once used by Indian priests as a mild hallucinogenic.

this is a tourist trap
By kevin, 9/21/10
This place is a joke. I went there alone, and was completely scammed. I had lunch, which consisted of four flautas and two beers, and they charged me almost $15 american. I went with my wife and her family to eat in her hometown, and three adults and a child all ate for $10. the tour itself is nice, but these people prey on out of towners who dont know any better. The problem was there were no menus, you tell the person what you want, and they bring it, then you get the bill. Basically they can charge you anything.

Cant wait to return
By MichelleL, 2/19/08
I went here many years ago, so things may of changed. I am returning in a couple weeks and this is one of my planned activities. What I loved the most is the tequila tasting and the opportunity to purchase the unique tequila at a reasonable price. The gave a very small tour but with lots of information, we tasted, and then got to cross the street for some of the best tasting all you can eat tacos(included in the tour). I would suggest this to anyone.

Very good
By Simon, 2/4/06
Unlike a few other tours I've taken in the past, the guide spoke very good english and gave a very good tour. The tour changed slightly to meet the needs of a few people on the tour and the guide kept up and still kept pointing out loads of local points of interest. The guides know the city very well indeed.

tequila tour
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/1/05
Very simple and straight forward, no hype, our tour guide was very fluid in english ( a transplanted Canadian ) This was not a tourist trap. There was no hesitation at all to pour you a sample of any Tequila. $15 for a very nice, informative tour.I would do it again..( I tour lots of wineries ) and this competes with some of the best.
