Not my cup of tea

Whether you like this hotel or not likely depends upon what you are looking for on your vacation. We wanted lots of sun, a large private beach and privacy. Small, pebbled beach with little sun. However, we were rewarded with privacy and when we wanted a choice of restaurants, to shop or to stroll, we hopped a local bus to downtown for 50 cents.
The employees are friendly but the rooms are quite run down. The room we were given had this grande jacuzzi near the bed (not on the balcony) - no one who is even minimally environmentally conscious would waste water filling the massive area.
As for the 'private beach', five people and its crowded not to mention that the sun doesn't reach the hotel's part of the beach until about 1:30/2:00 p.m. (in February) and there are more pebbles than sand. Not to mention that you have to find the lounge chairs to put under the smallest palapas to be found in P.V. The 'amenities' are a bit to be desired... there are also only four lounge chairs at the pool (which also does not see sun until about 1:30/2:00 p.m.).
However, the hotel shares two restaurants which are operated by the more upscale and adjacent Lindo Mar hotel. The food was great whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Would recommend this hotel if you just need a 'home base' and want to take numerous side trips to snorkel, fish or explore the jungle.
