Playa Camarones, Puerto Vallarta Centro

This beach is just north of the Playa de los Muertos and is just as popular. It is busy, but not as crowded as the beaches near the hotel row. Vendors are rare or non-existent, so you will need to bring your own equipment if you plan to snorkel or dive. The beach does have quite a large selection of restaurants, however. Many of the food entrees nearby include camarones (shrimp), in honor of the beaches' name. Locals like to hang out here as well as the tourists, so you will get a real feel of the local people.
