Bullfights
Description
Though decidedly not for everyone, traditional bullfights or corridas de toros are presented regularly each Wednesday at La Paloma in the Marina area on the airport road. Matadors appear with the 'suit of lights': the sparkling costumes they wear to confront the bulls. The pageantry is colorful, but first-time visitors should know that it always ends badly for the bull. Aficionados who attend often prefer the shady side of the arena. Bullfighting season starts in November and lasts until April. Bullfights open at 5pm daily.
