A young, lively crowd keeps this downtown establishment in the Malecon area jammed every night. As the first true nightclub, it continues to be the place to go. There is a Happy Hour daily from 6pm-8pm, but the real action doesn't start until about 10pm. There is often a waiting period to get in, and snagging drink service can be a challenge, but most of the clientele doesn't mind. Dance floor too crowded? Dancing on the tables is common. Food is served but most customers are here for the party, not the cuisine. Carlos O'Brian's also offers its own clothing line, so be sure to pick up a t-shirt on your way out.
This place was great!!! The dj played great music. I went in August of 2005, and I'd say the music was mixed half top 40 english music and half top 40 spanish music. I loved how they played reggaeton. This is the only club in Puerto Vallarta I've been to that played reggaeton. I definetely recommend this club to everyone. The waitresses are hot. This may be one of the older clubs in Puerto Vallarta, but it can still draw huge crowds every night.
Carlos O'Brians was freakin awesome!!!! I went there on a Mexico trip with 12 of my classmates and we went to Carlos O'Brians every night we were in Puerto Vallarta! I wish they had a bar like this in the States!!!! :)
the music was good but sometimes played the same tunes twice in an evening. the drinks were slick, with fast paced lady-servers and bartenders. the whistle-shooter girls were a little agressive, forcing shots on me when i repeatedly said i had no more money, then insisting i pay for the shooters. had to send a friend to a bank machine for cash....bummer. the location is awesome, straight on melacon. very hot and crowded but thats the way i liked it! skin on skin sweat! wooo! could always go upstairs and enjoy a little more quiet and stand infront of the air conditioner.
I LOVED this place, especially since I went on a FRIDAY NIGHT! It was so much fun going with my group of friends. The only thing I really didnt like much was when one of the waitresses walked up to me and basically poured the jello shots down my throat and then told me in the end, oh yea by the way its like 90 pesos. Other than that, I had tons of fun. I sure would like to go back again.
I've been to PV 6 times now. I go once or twice a year. My last to experiences were amazing due to the Carlos Obrien crowd. Luv ya all!! Eddie & Choco...BEST ever break dancers. Not only that but they showed us 2 canadian girls all over. I even got to drive Eddies scooter..until I crashed it! Carlos Obriens, not just a place to meet friends, but to keep friends. Keep in touch boys!
the atmosphere was awesome. they dancing, and everything about it! it was definatly some place to go with your friends and expect to stay out late! i would go again with no questions asked.. me and my friends went there every night for the time we were im mexico and the staff was awesome!
Way too crowded...went on spring break and couldn't even walk through the place. Lots of fights were started and my friend cut her foot open on glass and had to get stitches. Plus it was Malesta fiesta in there!
