Cafe Maximilian, Emiliano Zapata

Loved everything from the moment we sat down. The smiles from our servers started it all,and so very professional!! the meal and environment were exquisite. One of the best lattes I've ever enjoyed. Maximilans in Old Vallarta is simply a class act. Definitely on my list to visit again.

Great fish and scallops, the best in the PV area, wonderful service and the sidewalk tasbles are the hot spot at night. Will be back 02/11

Yes! My wife rushed out to find those blue water glasses, symbolic of the excellent food and ambiance rarely found 'round the world, but quaintly quartered in this small place on the sidewalk in Puerto Vallarta. (Actually, she found them at a much cheaper price at Macy's than in P.V.). We return for the 6th year to dine at Max's. She who-used-to-obey now insists that we dine at the Max at least three of four nights of the week. Sidewalk is preferred. There we see, and laugh, and enjoy the desserts of street life. Superb experience. Tip the waiter in pesos x 100.

The restaurant is located in a wonderful area of Pto. Vallarta called the romantic zone. The menu is filled with unique dishes that can tantalize even the most finicky eater. We dined street-side with great service from a friendly staff wanting to meet our every need. We had an awesome cabbage soup, fabulous rahmsnitzel, and ended with coffees, drinks and heavenly desserts! My husband and I agreed we would both go back again.... AND WE WILL!

We didn't go last year but have been there many times over the years and found the food wonderful so if they have the same chef it's probably just the same as we remembered it. Never ate outside as the sidewalk dining is not to my liking, too narrow and people walking by while you're eating is not fun, try the dining room.

This is a wonderful little gem of a restaurant. This could have been a European set for a 40's movie. The food is wonderful and they have a great espresso. The waiters are attentive but not hovering. The outside tables are a must during the processions in December. You can also stop in later afternoon for an espresso and pastry while shopping in Old Town.
