One of the best known of Puerto Vallarta's vegetarian restaurants, this spot has made its name on a reasonably priced, all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet operating from noon until 6:30p. Recently expanded and remodeled, its specialty items are available during dinner from 7pm to 10pm every night. Service is alert and friendly, and the atmosphere is this small restaurant is soothing. Casual dress is fine, but no beachwear is allowed.
My husband and I have been here many times, it's the only place we eat when in the area. If you're health conscious or a vegetarian or vegan, this is a great little restaurant at a good value, conveniently located (a fun walk) and good service. I wish we had one here! (So Cal) Imaginative food, good variety, FRESH, and interesting. Cute cheerful decor, quiet music
Self service for lunch. All you can eat. Everything was just wonderful. Choices of soup, salads, rice dishes, fresh vegetable salads, all safe to eat. Excellent fresh squeezed juices. Nice quite location just north of the cathedral.
We ate at Planeta three times in five days, we liked it so much. Great family place. High chairs for the little ones. Great hot dishes. Wide variety of delicious, fresh cold salads. Can't say enough good things about this place. We wish we had one in our town.
This is a great value, for 65 pesos ($5.84 US) they have a completely vegetarian buffet. They have 3 or 4 entrees with white and whole grain rice, soup, and 10-15 incredible salads. The food has a definite Mexican influence after all this is Mexico. I always enjoy my stops there for lunch or dinner and find everything enjoyable. They are also open for breakfast with a different menu (also buffet) than lunch and dinner. They also have several choices for drinks, usually 2 or 3 fruit based "aquas frescas". If you are tired of the lack of vegetables at the "normal" Mexican restaurants, you will be able to make up for the lack here.
