Roberto's Puerto Nuevo
Named for the popular lobster fishing village in Baja California, this restaurant offers the same unique style of lobster and seafood cooking, using spicy chiles and other ingredients to create an unusually flavorful treat. It has won praise from reviewers at the Los Angeles Times, Playboy and Gourmet. Other items available vary depending on the day's catch; look for red snapper, smoked marlin, Seafood-stuffed Chiles and a classic Seafood Casserole.
A freind of a member of our group had reccomended this place, so we did coe with some expectations. That was not the problem. The service was so slow we had to get up and walk downstairs twice to find a waiter. We were the only table in the restaurant the entire time we were there (that should tell you something - other restaurants in the area were full). The food was just OK in most cases and one person had to send their fish back because it was so chewy they couldn't swallow it!! Just a very bad experience.

from my guide
I was there last year. and in roberto's they were organizing a salsa night on saturdays. it was so nice. originally a cuban music group was playin live and it was amazing.
i never forget that place.
the foods for that night were generally from vegetables. i liked them too.
My boyfriend and I visited Roberto's Feb. of `05 and I have to say it is the best restaurant we've ever been to for crab. They soak it in garlic butter or something because this fantastic sauce is inside the shell! During the week we were in PVR we visited Roberto's twice. It was fantastic every time. We can't wait to go back next year!!
