Description

Though the name is casual, this restaurant on Playa de los Muertos appeals to sophisticated tastes. Obviously, the daiquiris have to be excellent, and they are, combining fresh fruits with top-quality liquors for the Strawberry and Peach daiquiris. The tropical atmosphere is a perfect place to take in the view of Banderas Bay. Entrees include Californian, Mexican and Asian influences, and the Chinese Chicken Salad combines them all. The "Ultimate Sunday Brunch" draws a big crowd and the dress code is very casual.

Dine here every visit

We usually went here for breakfasts, but realized their dinners were even better. Rank this with the best of Vallarta. On the ocean so be there for sunset.

Enjoyable evening

The black bean soup was delicious and the salad with goat cheese very good. The service was very good, we sat outside and the view of the ocean was pretty, except for the vendors trying to sell you things over the wall, surprised the restaurant allowed this. We enjoyed our meals here very much. I had a great chicken lemon & caper dish, my husband had the duck, we enjoyed our meals very much. Wanted to go back but wasn't serving the duck again.

You can't go wrong here no matter what meal it is.

My partner and I have been to PV twice and booked and paid for our 10 night trip this summer. Each time we have been and plan to go, we eat here at least one meal a day, we've actually eaten lunch and dinner in the same day. The place is casual, but elegant. The staff impeccable, food great, and value is shockingly affordable.

Don't miss breakfast

We had breakfast every day at Daiquiri Dick's, there was no reason to try anywhere else. The service was great and the food was wonderful! Don't miss it.

It's a classic. Really. We love it.

We liked the food...very high quality, cooked with precision but without any bombast or pretense. All those other places trying to be soooo fancy. At Daiquiri Dick's you get a beautiful plate, but somehow, it's not fussy. The drinks are good, the staff is great... hey... we'd go a lot more often if we lived nearby.

Fabulous!

This is THE place to be when the sunsets. Truly majestic. The surf crashed outside the restaurant seemingly to come inside. Of course, it never does. Food very good also. Drinks outstanding. Can't wait to go back.

Lunch/dinner fusion menus include good bbq ribs, medallions of beef demi-glac�, rare charred tuna 195p, Oaxacan chicken mole, crab cakes, ceviche, BLT 65p, black bean, tortilla or gazpacho soup 55p and salads including Caesar or Asian chicken. Try the lobster and shrimp tacos! Romantic with very attentive service. Live quiet soothing music of Ella y El: D'Rachael on vocals, harp and flute and Antonio Chavez on keyboard and vocals [Sun. noon-3pm] or Jorge and Lenin. cafepress

Sensational Salsa!

Daiquiri Dick's roasted tomato salsa is so good I bought their cookbook! They'll even bring you chips and salsa at breakfast (yes, it's *that* good) if you ask nicely ;) I recommend the chilaquiles, which are unbelievable - especially when rolled up in hot flour tortillas. If you've got a sweet tooth, the freshly baked cinnamon rolls are divine! The service is attentive and friendly, the portions are generous and the food is incredible. Daiquiri Dick's is a "must-do!"
