Gay Unfriendly
My partner and I ate here a couple of days ago. We were the only party of two guys in the place at dinnertime. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. The owner made a point of going table to table, including those all around us, greeting every party, shaking hands, introducing himself, etc., but he completely ignored us. I am not at all someone with an axe to grind, or a chip on my shoulder, but this was just too blatant. At one point, our waiter had been chatting with us for less than a minute, and the owner appeared, frowned and shooed him over to the table next to ours, a male/female couple, the clear implication being that the waiter was neglecting the "real" customers. The food was fine, but I wouldn't recommend this place to any gay folks with any sense of self-respect. Whatever the quality of the food, why go somewhere where you're clearly not welcome?
