We went to this fantastic restaurant while on a cruise and are going back to PV this fall, and one of the reasons is so we can go back to this INCREDIBLE place! It was beautiful and reasonable and the food was so good I ordered seconds! The shrimp is wonderful and very fresh!

We had a driver for the day and he took us to Los Arbolitos for lunch. The food was fantastic, the margaritas and guacamole were the best I've ever had. This is family owned and run. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We plan on stoping here again the next time we get to PV. I highly recommend it.

Puerto Vallarta was a stop on our cruise. We asked the best taxi driver in the world(Marcos Hernandez)where we could get the best Mexican ever. He took us to Los Arbolitos and actually sat down to eat with us, so we knew he wasn't lying. The tamale was delicious, the Margarita's were perfect(not too sweet). The best was the guacamole. Many in our group never have eaten it before, but loved it. They make it fresh at your table with only the freshest ingredients. The servers were accomodating and made you feel special. Though we have some good Mexican restaurants in our area, I believe none will ever top this one.

Los Arblitos has consistently good food in an area away from the crowds. It is located in an area beside the river with a pleasant atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

We stopped into Puerto Vallarta while on an 11 day cruise. We enjoyed a nice tour of the town and outlying area with a local driver. We asked about a good place to stop and have lunch. He took use to Los Arbolitos. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed our most wonderful meal of the whole trip at this restaurant. We enjoyed the nice young man, who spoke English, making fresh guacamole right at our table and it was the best guacamole ever. All of the meals that we ordered were beyond our expectations. Definitely try this place out!

The place was clean, the view was peaceful from the 3rd story, the food was good and the service was accomodating of our child. We were delighted with the meal and the experience. We had our 3yr old in tow and were exhausted from a long day of excursions. We asked the taxi driver for a recommendation and he took us here. We asked him to wait for us because it appeared it would be difficult to find another taxi in this quiet part of town. When we went to leave we spotted him eating on the other side of the restaurant!

This is the most fantastic restaurant I've ever been to. Right in the heart of old town PV, this family owned restaurant has a great atomosphere and wonderfully fresh food. The guacamole is made fresh right at your table and the servers make you feel right at home.

My friends and I stumbled on this place by accident several years ago. It's not easy to find, but it's worth the effort! It's by far my favorite restaurant in PV. During the day, it's almost all locals; however, at night it's a nice mix of locals and the kinds of tourists who enjoy being away from the mainstream. I personally love the fact that it is away from the touristy parts of PV. You can sit on the 3rd floor overlooking the river and hills. The food is amazing as are the margaritas!!

Our cab driver did not understand the name of the restaurant we gave him, instead, he took us to Los Arbolitos which is located in the older part of Puerto Vallarta. We looked around and decided "what the heck, we're here now" so we walked upstairs to the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, the white tablecloths adorned with colorful, traditional Mexican table runners. The waiter was gracious, smartly dressed and spoke excellent English. The food was the best we experienced on our six day stay. Do yourself a favor, try Los Arbolitos.

We had a great dinner at Los Arbolitos. From what we learned, it is a completely family run restaurant where everyone on the staff (in the family) learns every aspect of the restaurant. The food was excellent. The chef selects fresh food every day and the whole red snapper was extremely fresh and tasty. If in Vallarta, definitely make the effort to get to Los Arbolitos.
